The purpose of this project was to reinvent a magazine that is state-published, into a modern era. The content remains enticing and extraordinary but the magazine itself did not evolve with the times. The current readers tend to be of the older generations who are reminiscent of the magazine's glory days.
The content however, did evolve with the times. Exciting articles that reach out to the modern youth for feedback. But, the sad truth is that the delivery mechanism is not reaching this demographic on the mediums and platforms that they consume content on.
The idea was to create an interactive magazine that promoted not only a value proposition of tools such as note taking, interactive charts, media, object states, animations and advanced search; but it was meant to create a one-to-one communication method by directly integrating social media tools (via APIs and HTML embeds).
The result was a very interesting pilot that garnered attention from all stakeholders, and one I believe would have progressed into reality had it not been for the unfortunate coronavirus pandemic.
